Datta Thakar, had never thought that his former manager will invite him to his residence after 5 years of his quitting job from Telco, Pune to serve his family to fix an Antenna as they were facing problem due to low network. The “well known antenna seller” is also now dreaming to be Corerpati. In his word, “I am getting very good response continuously in Pune for my Antenna. I had done good business in Pune in financial year 2007-2008. This year I am hopeful of making it triple.”
Datta , a diploma engineer from a Mumbai based institute , was working with Telco in Pune on contractual in late 90s when his younger brother introduced him to Kumaar Thakkar the properitor of Antenna e-mobile solutions ,Thakkar has just introduced Omni and Jaggi Antenna in Mumbai market then. Thakkar who believes in his products, gave him two pieces of antenna with a request to try to sell it in Pune market. Datta, who hails from Pune , was surprised to see the response. Buzz gets circulated. People came to know about the products. Many contacted him to know more about antenna. He tried to encash from the demand. Our company provided him training, exposures and PR to set foot in place.
He becomes our distributor for western Maharashtra with Principal distribution network in Pune. Due to superior product quality and market demand, he could attract all major cellular operator i.e. Airtel, Vodafone and Idea . In a month, he is selling more that 50 antenna to different customers. He is getting very good demand for boosters.
Now this super distributor of our company is now distributing through over 45 dealers in different towns located in western Maharashtra. Over 50 franchisees of local cellular operator Idea, Vodafone and Airtel are also tied up with his network as reseller. Though every body knows him as an antenna seller, he has kept adding new products as and when our company launches.
Answering to queries of our PR cell, he says I am confident of earning a crore someday. “ Crore does not come first. It is nothing, but, a combination of lakhs. I am now in lakhs.. on a journey to … crore.”, a happy describes his success as a super stockiest.
He had invested Rs 50 thousand in 1996 to be our super distributor. He is not disclosing exact amount related to his earning from his distribution business. But he is admitting that he is earning today in Lakhs.Our MD Kumaar Thakkar, who himself is known as “mentor and entrepreneur maker”, adds, Datta was not convinced that he will be successful in distribution business. I gave him two antennas to try to see the feedback before taking any decision to be our super distributor. But he returned with distributor application.”
